i am a firm believer of making things for the sake of making them. stumbling across the indie web movement back in 2022 for me was awe-inspiring, and pushed me to be more creative than i ever have been. it would be an understatment to say that this little site project of mine has made me into the creative person i'd like to believe that i am today. to show my appreciation of this, i have created exactly what you see here, my little home on the internet. so while i may be late to the party in writing a manifesto, i still want to because it means a lot to me.

go make shit. it doesn't matter what it is, but make something. anything. your reasons need to be your own and not someone else's. im not going to state the real reason i keep this site running here, which would be contradictory to my own statment (even though ive prob overshared it somewhere on this site). but when you create something artistically, you must be involved in the process the entire time, you are the process after all.

so this manifesto isnt overly long to just go tell you to make a site in defiance of social media or anything like that (although thats a valid reason). i want to encourage you to be creative, and share things that you'd otherwise not. make shit out of love. make shit out of spite and hatred. make shit for your dog or cat. make shit for that one ex that makes you genuinely want to burn a forest. make shit for the mosquito in your room. make shit for your friends. and i can not stress it enough, make shit for yourself.
